Miko #13 (Adopted)

1/28/12:  Just when I thought my life couldn’t be any better the McCray’s came to meet the collies.  Please meet my new boy, Carrington and we bonded right away.  He has been researching dog breeds and decided on a collie.  He knows petty much everything about collies and our care.  He also has watched training videos and ready to have a collie.  I have to say Carrington is much more prepared than I am.  I have never had a toy but picked that ball right up for him.  I have never had my own food bowl to eat from or the love and care of a family.  I know he will teach me these things and I will be there to listen when he needs to talk as he is growing up.

How do you thank the folks that made this new life possible for me and to have my very own boy?  A life I never knew existed.

1/26/12:  Would you have ever thought I could be so beautiful again?  My rear had to be shaved because I was matted to the skin and I feel so much better now.  I even had mats on my elbows and the folks at Greensboro Pet Spa and Resort managed to save a lot of my hair.  Actually this is the first time I have ever had a bath and loved the massage.

My grooming was sponsered by Edward Ernyey.

1/23/12:  Sable & white male at about 3 years old:  I am in rescue because my owner is elderly and very sick.  Before she crosses the Rainbow Bridge she wanted to make sure I was in a safe place so contacted the rescue folks.  I was well fed, never abused and just neglected.  She was not what you would call a breeder because she never sold puppies and kept all of us.  I am one of thirty-one coming to rescue.  Since I was well socialized as a puppy I am quickly learning to love being petted and to interact with humans again.  Thank you rescue folks for stepping in to find me a forever home!

I am about to have a bath and grooming.

Thank you Kelly Chumbley for donating toward my care!

Marisa #10 (Adopted)

2/11/12:  Dr. Ewing came today to meet the collie and she is a vet.  As you can see we hit it off right away and there was never any doubt I was meant to go home with Michele.  She has two other dogs that go every where with her and now I will be joining them.  I never imagined such a great life could be possible for me and thanks everyone.
