My name is Socks, and I’m about 6–9 months old male kitty. I showed up at these nice people’s door one day, and after a couple of months of getting used to them, I decided to let them pet me and now I love people. I was supposed to be an outdoor kitty, but one night an opossum came after my food and scared me so badly that I screamed and peed all over the porch! Since then, I come inside whenever it’s cold or rainy and I always sleep indoors at night. I think if I found a new family and had a little time to adjust, I could easily be a happy indoor/outdoor cat. When I’m inside, I love playing with my toys, hanging out on my cat tree, and stretching out on my back in your lap for belly scratches. (They say cats aren’t supposed to like belly rubs, but I think that’s silly because I absolutely love them!) I don’t mind the dogs in the house at all, but unfortunately they’re very allergic to me. As much as this family hates to see me go, I need to find a new forever home. I’m a sweet, loving guy, and I even do well on car rides as long as I’m safely tucked in my carrier. If you’re looking for a playful, lovable fellow to add to your family, I’d love to be your guy. Oh and please don’t laugh but one of my “socks” doesn’t match, and I only have whiskers on one side. I think it just adds to my charm!
