Jake (Adopted)

9/8/24:  Finally, Carla came to take me home and I loved her right away.  She couldn’t believe how beautiful I am and how sweet.  She wrote in the back with me all the way home and we got to know each other.  Once home I straight away found a perfect bed for me.  Can you believe she slept on the couch to be near me should I need her?  I have found the most wonderful home and the perfect one for me.

8/11/24:  I am an eight year old fellow at 76 pounds.  I guess you know I am on a strict diet to get this extra weight off.  I am the sweetest guy that loves to be by your side, go for walks or car rides.  I do love a comfy doggie bed to lay on.  I have perfect house manners and housetrained.  I get along with the other dogs although I don’t really pay much attention to them.  The cats are ok with me also.  I do walk with a slight limp due to an old leg injury and receive pain pills to help with any discomfort I might have.  Getting this extra weight off will really help with that. I am at the rescue because my folks are having financial difficulties.

I am looking for a permanent foster home.  This is where the rescue will pay for my approved medical cost and all you have to do is love me.

Shadow (Adopted)

9/2/24:  I have a new home with The McBroom’s and fitting in just fine here with the other critters.  I have a new pal to play with and he is showing me the ropes here.   I think this is going to be just the right place for me.

9/1/24:  I am a three year old collie fellow at about 55 pounds.  I am at the rescue because little children scare me and I seem to scare them.  I have perfect house manners, great on walks and rides in the car.  I get along with the other dogs and cats are ok with me.

Holston (Adopted)

8/31/24:  Well I have really hit the jackpot with the The Hook Family.  Before coming to meet me they bought out the store getting toys, chews and treats for me.  They even had on their collie shirts and ready to adopt.  Since getting home I have met the cats and settled in on my new bed.  And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I have three, female corgis next door to play with.  Yep, I’m going to be just fine here with Veronica and Jason.

8/21/24:  I am a one year old fellow at about 54 pounds.  Nolte and I were born on a farm and never really had any training.  Since coming to the rescue we are learning many things and starting with leash training.  Since we have always used the bathroom outside there are no problems with the house training.  With the help of some chicken jerky we have also learned crate training.  We get along fine with the other dogs and don’t mind the cats either.  Although our training was neglected we are very friendly with people.  A very nice man drove us 10 hours to get us to CRC and on our way to a better life.
