Kona (Adopted)

6/19/24:  Headed on a long journey to a colder climate with my new mom, Michelle.   We made it home safely and here is a picture of me getting ready for dinner.  My mom is a principle so I know I will have to be a good girl.  This is the perfect home for me and so excited to start my new life.

6/16/24:  I am a 1 ½ year old, blue merle, smooth collie girl.  I am housetrained, crate trained, know basic commands and walk well on the leash.  I get along great with the other dogs but would like to have all the food.  I don’t pay any attention to the cats and sometimes visit the children across the street.  I hop right in the car for rides and a very smart girl.  I am at the rescue because my person could no longer keep me.

Charlie (Adopted)

5/16/24:  I have joined the Cottone Family and have my very own girl.  Brooke knew I was the one for her and loved me right away.  Woody and Brie are my new collie friends and they are showing me the ropes.  We have strange critters here, like iguanas and I am learning to chase them out of the yard because they eat our garden.   I am enjoying my new home and so glad they found me.

4/18/24:  Charlie here and I am the best fetch player you will ever meet. I will bring the ball right back and drop it at your feet ready for another go.  I am a seven year old fellow at about 65 pounds.  I am at the rescue because I prefer other dogs and don’t much care for the cats.  I know all the basic obedience commands, housetrained, great on the leash and rides in the car. They call me Charles Von Velcro because I am totally dedicated to my person and will always be by your side.  I do have a bbit of a sensitive stomach and would need to stay on a dog food that is formulated to be highly digestible so as not to upset the digestive tract. It does not require a prescription and many companies make it.

Inspire (Adopted)

4/1/24:  How fitting that this prankster be adopted on April Fools Day.  When Ms. Tina came I showed her how I can do basic commands and some my antics.  The rescue folks were a little perturbed when I gave her kisses and let her hug me when I never let them.  This made it pretty clear she was the one for me when I gave her my trust.  Since arriving home I had a bath and we go on walks.  I did show her my ornery side and she says we will be working on that.  I am so proud to have found the perfect home for me.

3/5/24:  I am a character with a lot of enthusiasm and will make you laugh.  I get so excited when people come and have a hard time keeping my feet on the floor.  Doing great with the leash walking although I sometimes hop down the road.  No problem with the housetraining and mastered my basic commands.  I am learning about getting hugs and belly rubs since I haven’t had that kind of attention.  Just click on the link to see a video of me being a good boy.

12/17/23:  I was on Craigslist for free so a CRC volunteer picked me up, gave me a much needed bath and brought me to the rescue.  I am a 2 year old, skinny fellow at about 50 pounds and need to gain about 5 pounds.  That will not be a problem as there is plenty of food here and treats also.  I have done great with the housetraining and crate training.  I get along with the other dogs and pay no attention to the cats.  I am learning basic commands and not to jump up on people.
