Mindy (Adopted)

9/8/26:  The Montoya’s are my family, and I’m so happy to be going home with them! Things have been a little confusing for me, but thankfully, they are wonderful people who understand that I need a little time to adjust.  I’m slowly coming out of my shell and learning to trust these kind and patient folks. I even have some new dog friends here, and that has helped me feel much more comfortable.  I know it won’t take me long to figure out that I have found the perfect home. With all the love, patience, and new friends I have here, I think I’m going to settle in just fine and once I decide this is my home, I’m not going anywhere!

9/6/26:  I am a petite Collie girl weighing about 50 pounds, and the rescue guesses me to be around three years old. I am housetrained and crate trained. I don’t really need a crate, but I do like having my own little place to relax and chill out.  I do just fine with the other dogs and pretty much ignore the cats. I’m not really interested in going for walks, and I don’t care much for being outside unless I’m taking care of business or you’re out there with me. I’m much happier being inside with my people.  Since coming to the rescue, I have been spayed and had my back teeth cleaned. My coat has been shaved, but it will grow back before you know it!  I came to the rescue because my person had to have back surgery and would no longer be able to care for me.

Pearly (Adopted)

9/9/26:  Today is the big day and I am going home with Pamela and Leo! They have been waiting a long time for their collie, and I sure am glad that collie is me!  I rode quietly all the way home…well, except for those first fifteen minutes. I had a few things to say, but after that, I settled right in like a good girl.  My first night, Leo slept on the floor with me so I would have some company. I think I’m going to like it here!  So far, I’ve been to the vet to get all set up and meet my new doctor. Then I had a wonderful spa day, and let me tell you, I am feeling very much like a lady now!  I have a feeling this is the perfect home for me. I’m going to be very well taken care of, spoiled just the right amount, and surrounded by lots and lots of love. I think I’m one very lucky collie girl!

9/6/26:  I am a five-year-old Collie girl who absolutely loves being petted and staying right by your side. I’m a sweet girl who loves attention and just wants to be with my person.  Since arriving at the rescue, I have been spayed and had my teeth cleaned. I walk well on a leash and know my basic commands. I am housetrained and crate trained, although I really don’t need a crate. I am also good with cats and get along well with other dogs.  My coat has been shaved, but it will grow back long, beautiful, and fluffy before winter!  I am at the rescue because my person had to have back surgery and would no longer be able to care for me.
