Bennie (Adopted)

5/20/23:  My new home is with Jim and Becky.  They sure are glad to have a collie in the house again after their fellow passed and I sure am glad to have this great home.  Jim and I go for long walks every day around the neighborhood.  I have so many new toys to play with and a new bed to sleep on.  This is going to be the perfect life for me.

5/7/23:  Bennie here, a 4 year old fellow at about 53 pounds.  My person had to start traveling for work and she felt like I was spending to much time by myself.  I know basic commands, great on the leash and love playing fetch.  I am a very smart guy that is great with the other dogs and cats are ok with me.  I am working on that housetraining a bit because I feel the need to mark but neutering will fix that.

Thank you Susan Harrison for helping with my medical needs.

4/11/23:  I have joined the McCarthy Family which consists of 2 humans, 1 collie (Finn) and 3 cats which I am getting used to.  We have a beautiful garden where Finn and I enjoy laying in the shade.  Mom and dad take us on long walks and then I take a nap on my new bed.  Mom says I am a very smart girl and we are going to do well together.

4/2/23:  I am a smooth, collie girl that has just turned eight.  My person went to the assisted living so I came to the rescue.  I have been very well taken care of over the years.  I am housetrained, good with the other dogs and cats are ok but will chase if they run.  I am a very healthy, sweet girl that loves a good game of fetch and also play frisbee.  I am on Phenobarbital because I had a couple of seizures two years ago.  The rescue folks aren’t sure if I really need it or if the medicine is controlling them very well.  It is a very cheep medicine that I take twice per day.

2/28/23:  Cheryl came to take me to my new home today and I’m gong to be an inside dog now.  These are my new pals, Finley that was also adopted from the rescue and Miss Tipper.  I am starting to settle in and learn all about this good life and the best of all, Chicken Jerky.  Thanks everyone that helped me to find the perfect home.

2/26/23:  I am here at the rescue because my senior person passed away.  I have been very well taken car of and also an outside dog.  I am learning about being in the house and haven’t had any accidents.  I will be turning 9 years old next month and overweight at 96 pounds.  I am currently on a diet but will still be a big fellow when I am a good weight.  I am great with the other dogs and don’t mind the cats.  I will hop right in the car to go for a ride and pretty good on the leash walking.  So far I have been to the groomer to get my hair done.
