Electra (Adopted)

12/6/22:  Well Santa came through for me and sent Robin and Gordon to take me home.  It was a long car ride here and I am now getting used to my new home.  Mom and dad took me shopping and I picked out bones, toys and some comfy beds for me.  Gordon likes to go for walks, and I need to go for walks so this will work out great for my weight loss.  I am so happy to have a home of my own and I will be very loved here.  Thanks to all that helped me on my way.

12/5/22:  Ok Santa, I had the heartworm treatment, been spay and I’m losing weight.  I’m ready to get in the big, ole sack of yours and go to my forever home.  Folks just need to know I am the sweetest girl ever and will be a faithful family member. I am a great at snuggling and like to rest my head on your shoulder in the car.

10/11/22:  I’m a 3 year old, big girl at 84 pounds but that is to much weight for this collie girl.  I was getting to much food and not enough vet care so I am at the vet today getting heartworm treatment.  I am otherwise healthy and should have no problems with it.  I’m a happy girl that loves to run and play.  I’m housetrained, pretty good on the leash and don’t fit in a crate but I will soon because I am on a diet.  I really would like to chase those cats, so they probably aren’t for me.  I’m good with the other dogs but prefer the company of a male.

Thank you Lorraine Mottola for helping with my medical cost.

Swan (Adopted)

12/6/22:  I have always been the shyest and most scared of all the collies from IL.  It was so scary when people touched me and I would tremble all over.  The volunteers would sit with me, giving me treats and letting me do things as I was ready.  Of course, I had the other dogs to show me that people are ok.  Eventually I started to have more confidence and trust people a little.  When Gina and Philip came to met me I was ready for my new home and to give this good life a chance.  Lady will be my pal and help me to adjust.  Thanks everyone for all you have done to make this possible for me.

12/2/22:  My turn to go home and I’m joining the Wheeler Family.  They realize it will take me a bit to settle in and my new pals Echo and Poppy will help me to adjust.  Can you believe they have dog TV and I love watching it.  I was the first one in the bus for the trip to NC and I just knew there was a better life ahead.  Thanks everyone that helped me to find this great family.

11/20/22:  I just love these kitties and they sure do love me.  I’m doing great here at the rescue and learning so many things.  Getting over my shyness which is something that just take time and love.

10/24/22: I’m a fun puppy girl at about 40 pounds.  I’m not going to be a big girl and a great size for someone.  Being a smooth collie my coat doesn’t mat and grooming is so much easier.  I have learned how to walk on the leash, doing well with the housetraining and love going in my crate for a treat.  I get along great with the other dogs and don’t mind those cats either.
