Axel (Adolpted)

2/21/26:  I’ve settled in beautifully at my new home with Rebecca. We spend lots of time snuggling, and I’m getting so much love and attention. We do all kinds of fun things together, especially our great games of fetch. This is the perfect home for me, and I couldn’t be happier.

12/14/25:  I’m a sweet 5-year-old collie boy, weighing 62 pounds. Star and Cleatus are my kids, and the three of us came into rescue when our family went through a divorce. While it was a big change for us, it also means we’re getting the chance to start fresh and find loving homes where we can truly shine.  I’m house-trained and crate-trained, and I’m gently working on my basic commands and loose-leash walking. I have a playful side too and Im the hockey player of the group and love batting a ball around the yard. The rescue folks are still learning all about me, but so far they’re seeing a loving, fun boy with a lot of heart. Please check back soon as they get to know me even better and share more about my journey.

2/14/26:  I’ve officially joined the Reif family, and I’m proud to say I’m a working man now! Mom takes me to work with her at the hospital almost every day, and I’ve quickly become quite the favorite. Everyone there gives me so much love with hugs, pets, and plenty of belly rubs from both the staff and the clients. I’ve even learned a few new tricks and am really enjoying this wonderful new chapter in my life. At home, I share my space with a few other critters, and I do just fine with the rabbits and even that bearded dragon… whatever that funny-looking thing is!  This is truly the perfect home for me, and I couldn’t be happier.

1/11/26:  Finally, I was able to get my neuter appointment, and that’s all taken care of now. I didn’t mind much, but I knew I couldn’t head to my new forever home until it was done. I’m truly one of the sweetest, most loving boys you’ll ever meet. Everyone who meets me falls in love with my gentle, happy personality. I’m known for giving (and receiving!) lots of kisses right on my snooter. I get along great with other dogs, and even the cat and I are just fine together.

12/14/25:  I’m a handsome 2-year-old collie boy weighing 70 pounds. Axel is my dad and Star is my sister, and the three of us came into rescue together after our family went through a divorce. We are excited about starting this new chapter and look toward brighter days ahead.  I’m house-trained and crate-trained, and I ride very nicely in the car, making me a great companion for outings and adventures. I’m also working on loose-leash walking and my basic obedience commands. I’m a smart boy and eager to please, especially when gentle guidance and praise are involved.  Personality-wise, I’m a sweet, kind fellow with a fairly easygoing nature. I enjoy being around people, taking things at a comfortable pace, and just being part of whatever is going on. My evaluation is still in progress, so be sure to check back soon for updates as the rescue learns more about me and watches me continue to blossom.

12/30/25:  I have wiggled my way right into the wonderful Olson Fine Family, and it truly feels like home. From the very beginning, they took such loving care of me and my babies, making us feel safe, cherished, and completely at ease. Because of that kindness, I knew this was where I was meant to stay. I fit right in with the rest of the pack, and the other dogs welcomed me as one of their own. Every day I am surrounded by love, patience, and attention. These amazing folks have shown me that I am family, and there is no doubt in my heart that this is exactly where I am supposed to be.

11/23/15: Now that I’ve finished raising my boys who are all healthy, happy, and ready for their forever families it’s finally my turn to find a home of my own. I’m only two years old, so I’m still a bit of a puppy myself. I’m discovering how wonderful life can be, from doing zoomies in the backyard to playing with my collie buddies. Because I spent so much of my young life focused on being a mama, I never really had the chance to learn all the “big girl” things that other dogs pick up early on. So right now, I’m working on my leash-walking skills and learning how to greet new people politely. It’s honestly a challenge, because I’m a love bug who wants to wiggle right into your arms the moment I see you. I just have so much affection to give that it sometimes spills out all at once! One thing I’m very proud of is that I’m housetrained and crate trained. I don’t really need a crate anymore, but I’m fine with one if you want me to use it. Mostly, I just want to be near you cuddling, napping, watching you, or curling up at your feet. I’m gentle, sweet, eager to learn, and so excited about this brand new chapter of my life.
